TBRI as described on The TCU.edu website: TBRI is an attachment based, trauma informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children. TBRI uses Empowering Principles to address physical needs, Connecting Principles for attachment needs, and Correcting Principles to disarm fear-based behaviors. While the intervention is based on years of attachment, sensory processing, and neuroscience research, the heartbeat of TBRI is connection.
Why Do You Need This Course?
TBRI provides individuals with the tools they need to provide quality caregiving to children who come from trauma or at risk environments. Those who take the TBRI course will better understand child development, the sensory system, how the brain develops and how attachment is formed. The provider will better understand themselves and how they can help a hurting child or youth connect and heal. The course dives into specific strategies that can be used in all areas of parenting. The tools learned will help caregivers move from surviving difficult behaviors to helping their child move forward successfully one step at a time with practical strategies. We believe that your home can become a place of hope.
