Houses of Hope is a Christian ministry organized for the purpose of providing trauma-informed training to foster care parents, treatment program staff, and other human services organizations that serve youth with a history of trauma. The purpose is to create a field of competent and effective workers in the human services field and provide safe havens of hope for the young people in their care.
One of the key elements of our hands-on training approach is its ability to make learning tangible and relevant. Rather than simply reading about techniques or watching demonstrations, our classes utilize real life roleplay scenarios to make the experience realistic.
We design group projects and peer-to-peer teaching opportunities to foster teamwork and shared learning experiences, appealing to social learners.
Learn how to recognize and respond supportively to signs of trauma, fostering a safe and understanding environment for youth. We implement activities and therapeutic interventions that empower young individuals to develop coping skills and strengthen their emotional well-being.
